Lagos Mainland Local Government on Friday, October 16, 2026, hosted the distribution of ATM cards to beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Programme at the Council Secretariat, with over 1,000 beneficiaries in attendance.
The exercise was supervised by Mrs Hafsat Bello, who oversaw the distribution process. The beneficiaries’ cards were funded as soon as they were identified, enabling them to access their cash transfer benefits.
The initiative is designed to provide financial assistance to eligible vulnerable households and help cushion the effects of economic hardship.
The exercise marks a step towards facilitating beneficiaries’ access to the financial support provided under the Federal Government’s social intervention programme.
