MAYOR (DR.) JUBRIL KOLAWOLE EMILAGBA URGES LAGOS MAINLAND RESIDENTS TO MAINTAIN HYGIENE AMID EBOLA CASE IN ABUJA

Following the Federal Government’s confirmation of an imported case of Ebola disease in Abuja, with 44 contacts identified for monitoring, I urge all residents of Lagos Mainland to remain vigilant, maintain proper hygiene and take necessary precautions to protect themselves and their families.

I encourage everyone to wash their hands regularly with soap and clean water, maintain good personal hygiene, avoid direct contact with the blood and bodily fluids of suspected or infected persons, and seek prompt medical attention if they develop symptoms of concern.

While relevant health authorities are working to contain the situation, we must all play our part by staying informed, following official health advisories and avoiding the spread of unverified information that could cause unnecessary panic.

The health and well being of our residents remain a priority. I therefore call on everyone to remain calm, stay clean, observe recommended preventive measures and report any suspected case promptly to the appropriate health authorities.

Prevention starts with us. Let us stay alert, maintain good hygiene and work together to keep Lagos Mainland safe.

Signed:
Mayor (Dr.) Jubril Kolawole Emilagba
Executive Chairman
Coordinator Renewed Hope,
Lagos Mainland Local Government.
