The *Nigeria Police Force Tactical Squad (Buffalo) stationed in Oko Baba, Ebute Metta area of Lagos Mainland Local Government has received a major welfare package from Lagos Mainland Local Government to enhance their operational capacity and improve security in the area.
The presentation ceremony took place at the Tactical Squad (Buffalo) , Oko Baba, Ebute Metta, in the presence of community leaders, council officials, and security stakeholders.
The empowerment initiative is aimed at: Strengthening security operations within Oko Baba, Ebute Metta and environs, to boost the morale of officers on the frontline of crime prevention, to support community policing efforts so as to make Lagos Mainland safer for residents and businesses.
The items and support presented to the Tactical Squad included 3 Electrical Solar fans, Refrigerator, Air Conditioner, Television set .
Speaking at the event, Mayor Jubril Kolawole Emilagba stated that more welfare support should be expected as the gesture reflects the commitment of Lagos Mainland Local Government to work hand-in-hand with security agencies to ensure peace and order.
The Otene Success Commander Tactical Squad (Buffalo), Oko Baba* expressed appreciation on behalf of the Nigeria Police Force. He assured that the empowerment will translate to a more effective policing in Oko Baba and surrounding communities.
