The Chairman gave the charge while addressing students at the ongoing Summer Coaching Programme, which is designed to provide academic support and strengthen students’ performance during the long vacation.
Hon. Mayor Emilagba emphasised the importance of education in shaping the future of the students and the development of society. He reassured them of the administration’s continued commitment to youth and educational development.

He noted that the provision of free summer coaching was part of the Council’s efforts to support parents and give students access to additional academic assistance without placing an extra financial burden on their families.
Speaking during the programme, the Council Manager, Mr. Femi Ojikutu, encouraged the students to study hard and strive for excellence, urging them to make their parents, society and the nation proud.
He also highlighted the Council’s commitment to a “Complete Student” programme, aimed at providing students with the necessary support and resources required for their academic development and overall growth.

Similarly, the APC Candidate for Members House of Representatives Hon. Kazeem Omolaja, encouraged the students to take their studies seriously and make the Council proud. He advised them to make responsible use of their mobile phones, stressing that technology should be used as a tool to complement their education, clarify difficult areas of their schoolwork and enhance their learning.
Hon. Kazeem further urged the students to appreciate and make good use of every opportunity provided by their parents and the government, noting that such opportunities should be regarded as stepping stones towards achieving their future aspirations.
The programme also provided an opportunity for the students to interact with government officials.
The free Summer Coaching Programme is another demonstration of the administration’s commitment to human capital development and grassroots education, while aligning its programmes with the broader vision of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Lagos Mainland Local Government administration remains committed to creating an enabling environment where students can receive quality educational support, develop their talents and acquire the knowledge and skills needed to become responsible and productive members of society.
