LAGOS MAINLAND LOCAL GOVERNMENT HONORS RETIRING STAFF FOR YEARS OF DEDICATED AND MERITIOUS SERVICE.

Emotional farewell as Lagos Mainland Local Government celebrated and honoured members of staff who retired from active service after years of dedicated and meritorious service .
The retirement celebration was held at the Council Secretariat hall on 21st July 2026 .The event brought together government officials, management staff, retirees, colleagues, family members, and well-wishers to celebrate the achievements and contributions of the retiring officers.

The Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Mayor (Dr.) Emilagba Kolawole Jubril, commended the retirees for their commitment, hard work, and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the local government. He noted that their years of service had left a lasting impact on the council and the community at large. He encouraged the retirees to remain proud of their accomplishments and wished them good health, fulfilment, and success as they embark on a new chapter of life after public service.

Speaking at the event, the Council Manager of Lagos Mainland Local Government Mr Ojikutu Oluwafemi Moriu congratulated the retirees on the successful completion of their years of service and commended them for their dedication, commitment, and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of Lagos Mainland Local Government. He encouraged them to make productive use of their retirement years by pursuing meaningful ventures, spending quality time with their families, and remaining active in activities that would positively impact their communities. He further advised them to embrace retirement with optimism, good health, and a sense of fulfillment, noting that retirement marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunities for personal growth and service to society.

The Head of Service of Lagos State Mr olabode Shuaheeb Agoro ably represented by Mr Esan Idowu and Mrs Omowunmi, they applauded the retirees their years of dedicated service and wishing them a fulfilling retirement. They also presented Exit Certificates to the retirees as a mark of appreciation for their contributions.

The event featured presentation of gifts, and words of appreciation in honour of the retirees.
The atmosphere was filled with joy, gratitude, and fond memories as colleagues and guests celebrated the retirees for their remarkable years of service and wished them a rewarding and peaceful retirement.
The ceremony underscored Lagos Mainland Local Government’s commitment to recognizing and appreciating employees who have devoted their productive years to public service and community development.
